ASCOR-WIP
ASCOR WIP (Work in Progress, Store Administration System) is a fully-automatic system for intermediate storage and transportation of board sheets.
ASCOR WIP provides the visualisation of the automatic sheet transport from the corrugator to the converting machines. The program is able to track each stack of an order with its specific data in the store.
The visualization works according to the layout measures and offers a wide range of sorting and search functions which simplify the work of the user. All stack features known to the system such as, for example, the number of sheets in one stack, the customer number, the production time, etc. can be called up any time in real time.
The system starts accumulating the stacks behind the corrugator stackers and monitors all movements of each individual stack in the store. ASCOR generates the transport orders for the transfer cars guiding the stacks directly and accurately timed to the corresponding converting machines. For this purpose, the interfaces to the planning system and the corrugator must be installed before.
Store ManagementASCOR WIP administers the automatic intermediate store. Due to the data tracking, it is no longer necessary to use internal stack labels. The visualization always informs the user about the storage places of the goods.
By means of order rules which can be parameterized by the user, unnecessary transport can be avoided when storing the goods. The store capacity is used to a maximum extent and the converting machines are fed accurately timed.
Besides the transport of the goods, automatic tool transport to the converting machines, automatic waste transport and the automatic infeed of empty pallets are possible.
Error Detection SystemAn error detection system informs the user about upcoming errors and makes it easier to find them. An error log book helps to analyse the causes.
Label PrintingAlthough the automatic store management does not need to work with labels, ASCOR WIP is able to print different stack labels automatically, either in Batch Mode or, if necessary, event-driven. The quality of the stack labels only depends on the customer’s printer.
